Happy Monday and Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! May your long weekend be filled with turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie and more delicious food! Thanksgiving day is all about spending quality time with your loved ones and thanking them with a grateful heart. Of course, this shouldn’t be the only day that you give thanks to, as it should be everyday.
Normally, I’d get in the Thanksgiving spirit by wearing some Fall colours in darker shades of orange or red. This year, I decided to do something different and wear denim instead. I think it’s good to change it up a bit sometimes don’t you think?
I wanted to wear something casual, relaxed and loose so I can eat without having to worry about that tum-tum showing or having to unbutton my pants halfway through dinner. I think we can all relate to this (Haha)! As you can see, I’m still taking advantage of the last bits of sun. As you probably already know my Vancouverites, our weather was never this warm and sunny at this time last year!
Here, I am wearing the denim dress with a brown floppy hat and some ankle booties. Another good alternative in styling is to wear a faux fur vest, a jacket or knee high socks/boots or all together as layers to keep yourself warm. That’s the main reason why I love this dress so much – it’s so versatile!
I see denim coming back every year and is great for all the seasons since it can be easily matched with heels, sandals and shoes. Your options are seriously endless and I think it’s a great piece to invest in too.
There’s always behind-the-scenes happenings when it comes to fashion or lifestyle shoot. This is one of them where Anna captured of me taking a selfie. If you don’t already know what a selfie is, it’s a photograph taken by oneself – just like what I did above! Don’t forget to take Thanksgiving day selfies, because I’d love to see them. Happy Thanksgiving once again!
