Double Dutch

I''m not talking about a game of skip rope. The focus of today’s post is the Double Dutch Braid. Braids, especially the Dutch style, has officially made a comeback. Recently, it's back in full force and can be seen everywhere: on celebrities, on the runway and on the streets. This trendy hairstyle is great for when you're on-the-go, in between hair washes or just looking for something new to try.

What I love about braids is that it's a hairstyle that has its own history. I think it goes way back to BCE years, but who knows eh? This ancient technique of styling hair is timeless, so definitely worth trying out now too! When I was younger, my grandma used to braid my hair all the time. Now, I have no one to help me, so it's time to learn the technique myself.

In collaboration with the Ceramkore team, we've put together an easy-to-follow video tutorial on how to get these sexy braids. It’s definitely a more difficult hairstyle to start with, but that's everything at first and with practice, you'll be a braid expert in no time. I have faith in you, so don't say you can’t! Because I know you can! :)

Finish off the look with two elastic bands and your all-time favourite hairspray, then you're ready to go! This look should take you less than 15 minutes. A tip I learned from the hair stylist is that you can use a couple of bobby pins if you want your braids to sit closer to your head.
