Growing up in Vietnam, I was told that turmeric can work wonders for your skin. I still remember my grandma's exact words, "It's good for you Boyu. Put it on top of your acnes and scars." Turmeric was my go-to for evening out my complexion and reducing acne scars when I was living in Vietnam. Because turmeric only grows in Asia, it is uncommon for North Americans to really understand its benefits.
In fact, it's rare to find organic turmeric at the supermarket. Because of this, I stopped using turmeric until I recently discovered YLLO Turmeric Scrub.
What I love about this scrub is that it contains not only turmeric but chickpea flour, cold pressed coconut oil, raw cane sugar, sea salt, pure vitamin E oil, and essential lemon oil. It's also easy to use too!
Wash your face and remove all makeup
Measure out a tablespoon of turmeric scrub and mix well with a teaspoon of water
Gently apply to face in a circular motion, targeting problem areas
Leave on for 20 minutes
Rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a paper towel
After using the scrub twice this week, I can confirm to you beauties that it evens out skin tone and controls oily skin. Most importantly, it fades acne scars and that's exactly what I was looking for. Was I happy with the results? Yes, I was.
